چکیده
Abstract. Soil freeze–thaw processes play a fundamental role in the hydrology, geomorphology, ecology, thermodynamics, and soil chemistry of cold regions' landscapes. In understanding these processes, temperature is used as proxy to represent partitioning ice water content via freezing characteristic curve (SFCC). This mathematical construct relates specific for particular soil. SFCCs depend on many factors, including properties (e.g., porosity composition), pore pressure, dissolved salts, (hysteresis in) freezing/thawing point depression, degree saturation, all which can be site-specific time-varying characteristics. have been measured using various methods diverse soils since 1921, but, date, data not broadly compared. part because they had previously compiled single dataset. The dataset presented this publication includes SFCC digitized or received from authors, it both historic modern studies. are stored an open-source repository, R package available facilitate their use. Aggregating has pointed out some gaps, namely that there few studies coarse comparably situ measurements mountainous environments. Regression Error Characteristic Curves
Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves provide a powerful tool for visualizing and comparing classification results. Regression Error Characteristic (REC) curves generalize ROC curves to regression. REC curves plot the error tolerance on the xaxis versus the percentage of points predicted within the tolerance on the y-axis. The resulting curve estimates the cumulative distribution funct...
متن کاملStatistical Assessment of Models for Determination of Soil – Water Characteristic Curves of Sand Soils
Characterization of the engineering behavior of unsaturated soil is dependent on the soil-water characteristic curve (SWCC), a graphical representation of the relationship between water content or degree of saturation and soil suction. A reasonable description of the SWCC is thus important for the accurate prediction of unsaturated soil parameters. The measurement procedures for determining the...

In this paper we prove that there are no hyperelliptic supersingular curves of genus 2n − 1 in characteristic 2 for any integer n ≥ 2. Let F be an algebraically closed field of characteristic 2, and let g be a positive integer. Write h = blog2(g + 1) + 1c, where b c denotes the greatest integer less than or equal to a given real number. Let X be a hyperelliptic curve over F of genus g ≥ 3 of 2-...
